Shrewsbury Education Service organises programmes of English complemented by High School courses leading to A Level and Professional qualifications for university entrance.
Shrewsbury Education Service was established in 1996 to provide a distinctive, affordable and personal option for International education in England. We offer British National Curriculum programmes with supplementary lessons in English as an Additional Language, which enable each individual student to fulfil his or her academic and linguistic potential and to develop into a confident and responsible young adult, equipped for life in the 21st Century.
Each student’s personal learning programme is organised by Alan Fox in collaboration with the teaching staff in our Independent Schools and State Colleges. Alan Fox has had over twenty years’ experience as a teacher and lecturer of Modern Languages in England, France and Germany. Furthermore he was formerly a peripatetic languages teacher in the County of Shropshire, Central England and consequently enjoys excellent relations with many schools in the area. Throughout our study programme Shrewsbury Education Service acts as a constant point of support for students and teachers, ensuring maximum success for each individual.
Shrewsbury Education Service provides British National Curriculum courses in selected State Schools and Colleges and Independent Schools and delivers specialised programmes in English as a Foreign Language. Our State Schools and Colleges, in the beautiful county of Shropshire, in Central England, are distinguished by their high academic achievement and outstanding facilities, often in historic buildings and in idyllic settings. Throughout the programme we are constantly active on behalf of our students, the teaching staff and students' parents, fostering a sense of partnership amongst them and providing the support which is necessary for our students' academic and personal success.
Our provision has flourished over the years through the achievements of the many International students who have entrusted our staff not only with their educational needs but also with their individual development. Our students regularly attain high levels of success in their chosen education field as well as in their preferred extra curricular pursuits. Former students have obtained places at elite British universities including Oxford and Cambridge, while others have chosen to return to their home countries to embark upon their university education. In addition, a number of past students have also progressed to represent their countries in sport or have excelled in the fields of music and drama.
"We would like to thank you for your commitment, helpfulness and support during the stay of both our sons. They always felt welcome and at home with you. Thanks for your wonderful care! They will always have fond memories of their time in England."- Familie G, Köln
